that Mr. W. J. Tutcher, the Assistant Superintendent of
the Botanical and Forestry Department, should be promoted

in which he is now acting. Mr. Tutcher has nearly 19
years' service in the Colony, and has acted on various
occasions as Head of the Department to the satisfaction
of the Government. I further recommend that, in view of
the excellent quarters provided for the Superintendent of
the Botanical and Forestry Department, the salary of that
post should be reduced to £420 rising to £540 per annum by
£40 triennially. Mr. Tutcher is prepared to accept the post
at this salary.

of the Government of India. The salary of the Assistant
Superintendent of the Botanical and Forestry Department
